Oh What Stories Clergy Could Tell

For the past few blogs, I’ve been talking about how you can explore various aspects of ministry and your spiritual life through writing short stories. If you want to see some examples of short stories about clergy life, or you just want a change of pace, let me offer you some Clergy Tails–Tales that I have created.

If you go to my Amazon page, you can find a couple of opportunities. I have composed three volumes of clergy tales in both electronic and print form. You can download one volume at a time for ninety-nine cents or get all three volumes in a package.

As I suggested in A COMPANY OF PASTORS, these tales can form the basis for discussion in a clergy support group. If you are part of a couple, you might find some enjoyment in reading and discussing a story together.

At its most boring, there is something special about the ministry and frequently it is a full-time, hair-raising adventure that is anything but boring. This book seeks to provide parabolic stories of the complexity of ministry. This collection of clergy tales tell the stories of clergy in both their noble light and their shadows It is an attempt to build respect for clergy, one story at a time.

I would be delighted to see some of the tales you have written as you explore various aspects of ministry. While these are written around the lives of clergy, many of the issues are also part of the lives of educators or others who work in the church.
